The gardens, before the adjectives.
Every photograph here is real work by Down to Earth Winchester Ltd, taken from our own Google profile — formal planting and striped lawns at one end, cleared banks, digger work, fence lines and driveways at the other. Nothing borrowed, nothing staged.
Gardens & Planting
A formal garden with clipped box beds, standard trees and a long lawn — layout, planting and upkeep all working together.
Box parterre and gravel paths cut into brick-set paving, with clipped hedging holding the shape of the garden through the winter.
A sleeper-edged border of white hydrangeas under pleached trees, with the lawn edged cleanly up to it.
Lawns
A narrow town garden mown to even stripes, running from a paved terrace down to the boundary planting.
An autumn garden on the regular round — lawn cut, leaves cleared and the borders and rockery kept in order as the season turns.
Clearance & Groundworks
Scrub and overgrowth cleared, the ground worked over and a new post-and-rail boundary run along the top of the plot.
Mini-digger work reshaping ground alongside a newly built close-board fence line — levels sorted before anything goes back on top.
Fencing & Hard Landscaping
New fence panels and a sleeper-retained bed above a freshly laid gravel drive, finished off at the end of the day.

A steady record
Rated 4.9 on Google, from clients who name us by our first names. Some of these are one-off projects — a bank taken out for parking, a drive laid, a fence line replaced. Most of the rest are gardens we have been coming back to for years.
